Alice sat in silence, as she stared at the ground.
“Look at her,” they said, as they gathered round.
“Should have left earlier, when I was homeward bound,”
she murmured out loud.
She’d bid her farewells to all she had met.
“Wait,” shouted the mad man in the hat.
“I’ve got something to give you to say goodbye,”
He said with a wicked glint in his eye.
“Just give it a try.”
He reached into his sleeve,
little did she know it was his plan to never let her leave.
“What is it?” she asked, “I’m in a bit of a hurry.”
“Just a little something to help you on your way, you need not worry.”
“It won’t hurt will it?” she was seduced.
“Not one bit,” he gave her the juice.
“I’ve never felt like this before,”
she said, as she lay down on the floor.
When it was over all she wanted was more.
Thoughts of home flooded her brain,
She was never going to be the same.
Would the people she knew and loved,
recognise the face, she didn’t recognise herself.
